The Behavior Analyst Behind the Blog

Hey there and thanks for stopping by! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Emmy and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in South Jersey. Currently, I am fresh out of grad school, working my dream job, and living off of caffeine and seltzer waters. As a behavior analyst, I work across various settings primarily with the autism population. 100% of what I do is based upon the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), but that’s not necessarily what this blog is all about. The purpose of this blog is to cultivate creativity within ABA and fields alike. If working in this field for 7+ years has taught me anything, it’s that with these kiddos, creativity is key. From individualized token economies to inventive ways to teach life skills, I’ve got you covered! I hope that this blog not only can inspire creativity in other behavior analysts, teachers, therapists, and counselors, but also become a reminder to us all that “if a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn (Ignacio Estrada).” Long story short; me, myself, and my laminator have lots to share with you if you’re interested in following along. ~E~
